HOW TO ...

5. Connect TimeDriver to your Outlook or Google calendar
Our registration data shows that 52% of TimeDriver users have connected to their Outlook calendar, 27% have connected to their Google calendar, and 21% have not connected to any calendar. For those of you who have not yet connected — join the party!

(Of course, we realize that not everybody uses Outlook or Google calendar — but these are the most popular and most robust calendars. You can get Google Calendar for free on the Google site.)

Connecting to your calendar is not absolutely necessary, but very helpful. Here's why:

If TimeDriver is connected to your calendar, TimeDriver will offer appointments that do not conflict with "busy times" on your calendar. And TimeDriver appointments will flow into your calendar automatically.

As you know, TimeDriver lets you define windows in which you are willing to accept appointments for a particular activity -- such as an Online Demo. You simply click and drag on the TimeDriver grid to open a window. You might decide to open windows on Monday and Wednesday mornings. Later, when your customers respond to an invitation to schedule an Online Demo, TimeDriver will offer times that fall inside these windows.

Now, here is where your calendar comes in. Remember that TimeDriver is connected to your Outlook or Google calendar. TimeDriver lets you preview what times would be offered taking into account the busy times in your calendar. TimeDriver will offer times that fall inside the windows, but will not offer times that conflict with your other commitments.

You can connect to your calendar from the "Connect Your Calendar" tab under TimeDriver Settings. Simply follow the on-screen instructions.
